NOTE: The satin lining will be revealed when the collar is adjusted LARGER. At its smallest adjustment the collar will not reveal the satin lining on the inside. If you would like to have satin lining on the entire inside please contact me for a custom length.

Dog Collar Configurations by Size & Weight:

Plastic Buckle Collars
o Recommended for Medium to Large Dogs Weighing Less Than 100 lbs
o Durability & Strength: These collars are designed for dogs in the medium to large weight range, typically under 100 lbs. The plastic buckle has a breaking strength of 150 lbs, making it strong enough to securely hold most medium to large breed dogs. In addition, we have found it to be very effective when used in conjunction with a Herm Sprenger collar by holding the prong collar in the correct position on the dog’s neck, preventing it from sliding down out of position.
o Comfort & Flexibility: Lightweight and easy to use, the plastic buckle is ideal for dogs that don't exert extreme force. It’s easy to fasten and adjust, offering a secure fit without being cumbersome for your dog.
o Industrial Strength Construction: The collar is sewn with industrial-strength thread to reinforce all seams, ensuring long-lasting durability even in active or outdoor settings.

2. Metal Buckle Collars
o Recommended for Large and Giant Breed Dogs Weighing More Than 100 lbs
o High-Strength Support: These collars are built to handle the power of larger and giant breed dogs, with the metal buckle featuring a breaking strength of 600 lbs, providing superior security for dogs that may pull or exert significant force.
o Lightweight & Rust-Proof Aluminum Buckles: The metal buckle is made from aluminum, making it significantly lighter than steel while still maintaining impressive strength. Aluminum also ensures that the buckle will not rust, even if your dog loves to swim or play in water.

NOTE: For those using Herm Sprenger collars for leash work we have found the 2 inch wide plastic buckle collars to be very effective in keeping the prong collar in the correct position on your dog’s neck when in use. It should never be used by itself for leash work, ONLY in conjunction with the prong collar. Please see the buckle collar section of our shop for patterns available.
