I ended up not making this adorable little platypus because I found a different pattern more suited to my needs. The pattern looks very well made, with clear instructions and a lot of pictures to guide you through the process. The only downside, for me - and one of the reasons that I didn't make it in the end - is that it involves the use of glue and a hot glue gun quite a bit, and I generally prefer to avoid using any kind of glue in my felt toys. While some pieces can definitely be basted and/or sewn on instead, in some other cases I think it would change the appearance of the platypus a bit too much. That's a personal preference, however, and I'd still recommend this pattern if using glue is not a problem for you!
