Using the most traditional soap-making process invented in around the 2400 BC, this type of soap is the forefather of using natural handmade soap bars as a skincare product for face, body and hair. It is also the ancestor of Marseille soap. It has a long history of use. Ghar soap has been used for centuries, and its effectiveness has been well-documented over time. This makes it a tried and true option for natural skin care. It is made from all-natural ingredients. Ghar soap is made from olive oil and laurel oil, without any added chemicals or synthetic ingredients. This makes it a natural and gentle option for people with sensitive skin. It is effective for cleaning the skin without stripping it of its natural oils. Many traditional soaps can be harsh and drying, but Ghar soap cleanses the skin without removing its natural moisture. This makes it ideal for people with dry or sensitive skin. It is suitable for the daily maintenance of sensitive skin in a hygienic and balanced condition. Their transformation into soap bars involves a process which takes 8 to 12 months: first, the heating up in a special vessel of olive oil together with sodium hydroxide naturally during which natural glycerin is released; secondly, adding desired amounts of laurel oil to the mixture; thirdly, pouring the mixture into a basin for chilling so that all its elements bond together and the mixture becomes firm; fourth and finally, cutting the congealed mixture into rectangular bars, which are then stacked over one another in a manner leaving plentiful room for air circulation between each bar inside a chamber. Soaps dry for 9 to 10 months (in order to solidify and evaporate the sodium) to make way for natural ingredients. Made in Turkey

Item was exactly as expected. Recommend purchasing a soap bag (sold separately) to use with it so that it can dry easily between uses and it doesnt get soggy. I used the Aleppo soap for the first time last night with my soap bag and was very happy with it.
