These beautiful luxury handmade leather custom bookmarks make the perfect gift for your favorite spooky book lovers & writers!

Carefully crafted by hand using only the best quality full grain bark tanned leather. I have thoughtfully chosen the thickness of these custom bookmarks - they are thick and durable enough to survive a lifetime, but not thick enough to mess up your pages. Features a unique skeleton illustration created by an independent artist exclusively for Forest Nine.

Each bookmark is made to order and is personalized by hand in my small workshop.
Can be purchased as a set of two to create a unique matching couples gift, or purchased individually using the drop down menu's.

DETAILS

‣ 1.25" wide by 7" long
‣ Real full grain high quality leather
‣ Leather will age and patina with use, no special care required
‣ Four leather colors to choose from - dark brown, tan, natural or black
‣ Features a unique skeleton/skull embossing

PERSONALIZATION INFO

‣ Each individual brass letter is placed by hand
‣ Heat and pressure is used for embossing to ensure a quality & lasting imprint. (superior to laser engraving)
‣ Can be embossed either with or without the skeletons.
‣ Choose to personalized with your name, date, initials or special words.
‣ The font will be times new roman.
‣ I will choose the size type that suits your request best - going with large or small where it makes sense aesthetically.
‣ All sentence case will be done in 24 pt (the smaller letters shown in examples)
‣ The larger letters are only available in uppercase.
‣ Embossing is available on the front side only (the back is left natural)
‣ My processing times are fast, so I do not provide photos or a proof before shipping - but it will be just as beautiful as my examples.

ABOUT OUR LEATHER
The leather used to create these bookmarks has been hand crafted through a lengthy & specialized tanning process.This process creates an outstanding quality of leather that will age and patina beautifully with time and use. This tannery has been in business for nearly 120 years & they create some of the best leathers you can buy. We have worked with this tannery to create the perfect Forest Nine tan color, but we also have dark brown and black for some added options. The tan and dark brown options will have a "pull up" effect, which gives the rustic dual tones you see with use. If you like, you can rub some leather balm on the front, but it's not required by any means.

‣ Since leather is a natural material, please expect slight variances & imperfections.
‣ Embrace the imperfections and scuffs created over time, this only makes your bookmark more special!

Lined: Thick 80lb smooth text paper, with light grey narrow ruled lines, can handle watercolor paint.

Recipe: Thick 80lb smooth text paper, printed with a recipe template for you to fill in your own recipes by hand.

Waterproof paper: 20lb text with waterproof wool based coating, can get wet without damaging your work. Can use any non liquid pens- cheap ball point ones are great, sharpie markers, pencil & crayon. NOT for use with watercolor paints or fountain pens. This feels very similar to regular paper with a slight grip/grit. Available in blank only.
