When can I expect my parcel to be dispatched?

Each mold is handmade to order, including preparing the dice masters, pouring and curing the silicone, finishing the mold, and completing the final quality checks. Processing times vary depending on the item and the size of your order. Most orders are dispatched within 2 to 4 weeks, excluding weekends and UK bank holidays. Your estimated dispatch date can be found in your order details. Please note that processing time does not include delivery time.

Why hasn’t my tracking updated, or why is my order still showing in the same location?

Etsy’s tracking is not always updated as quickly or accurately as the carrier’s website, so your parcel may still be moving even if it appears to be in the same location. If clicking the tracking number in your order details does not automatically take you to the carrier’s website, please visit the carrier’s website directly and enter the tracking number manually. For international orders redirected to the Royal Mail website, click “Continue tracking” to be taken to your local postal service’s website. This will usually provide the most accurate and up-to-date information.

What PPE should I use when working with epoxy resin?

Always check the safety instructions and Safety Data Sheet for your chosen resin, as requirements can vary between products. As a general guide, wear nitrile gloves and safety glasses, and work in a well-ventilated area. If respiratory protection is recommended, use a well-fitting respirator with filters suitable for organic vapors and airborne particles. A2P3 filters are commonly used in the UK/EU, while OV P100 cartridges are commonly used in the USA, confirm suitability with the resin and respirator manufacturers. What type of resin should I use, and can I use fast-curing resin?

For the best results, I recommend a low-viscosity epoxy casting resin. Its thinner consistency makes it easier to pour and allows trapped air to escape more easily, helping to reduce bubbles. Puduo and Let’s Resin are both affordable, beginner-friendly options that are easy to find online. Where possible, choose a slower-curing resin with a curing time of around 24 hours or longer. Fast-curing resins produce more heat and may wear out silicone molds more quickly with repeated use. Whichever resin you choose, make sure it is suitable for silicone molds and always follow the manufacturer’s measuring, mixing, curing, and safety instructions.

Why aren’t my resin dice curing properly?

The silicone mold itself will not normally stop epoxy resin from curing. Soft or sticky dice are usually caused by an incorrect ratio, incomplete mixing, unsuitable temperatures, or insufficient curing time. Follow the resin manufacturer’s measuring, mixing, temperature, and curing instructions. Scrape the sides and bottom of the cup, as well as the mixing stick, to prevent unmixed resin from entering the mold. Too much colorants (e.g.: alcohol inks, pigment pastes) may also affect curing. Cold temperatures and high humidity can increase curing time. Check the resin’s expiration date and batch number, and contact the manufacturer if the problem continues.

All moulds are made using Smooth-On Dragon Skin 20 (not food safe), using commercial-free fonts and thereof yours to keep and sell freely.

As long as it is treated well, the mould can last 10-15 casts - you can increase this number using a mould release spray, but this will result in a satin finish and require more polishing.

IMPORTANT: Due to the mould release agent used to make the moulds, the lower number faces of the cast dice will be matte. This can be fixed by polishing.
