This Stunning Italian Walnut and Black resin table is a beautifully crafted coffee table. The table top has been matched with black hairpin legs.

The Italian Walnut has been kiln dried before working with to remove all possibility of warping. The wood is then processed into its rough shape and desire. Once completed the wood is placed into a mould for the resin to be poured. The resin used is Glass Cast resin. The resin has been dyed with a black tint, this tint in the resin in contrast with the wood allows the grain to pop and works beautifully together.

Once the resin has completely set and is rock hard the table top can be put through a router sled, this flattens the table and makes it all the same thickness. The piece is then cut to shape and routed to give a nice edge to the table. The table is then sanded from 80 to 3000 grit sandpaper this removes all marks or imperfections that the table has. Finally it is finished with 3 layers of Odies Oil. Odies oil penetrates into the wood and stabilises it, making it stronger but also bringing out the natural beauty of the grain.
