A vintage pure silk kimono.
Since it is a hitoe (see below), you can care for it at home.
The more you wash tsumugi, the softer the fabric becomes.

It is a hand-woven pongee made of sturdy fabric.
Flowers in running water are woven into a dark blue-grey colored background.

Good condition like new.

Most of our Kimonos and Haoris are hand sewn and custom made. We measure from sleeve edge- to-edge (horizontally), and from the top (where the collar is attached) to the bottom (vertically).

Hitoe kimono is a summer kimono, that has a great advantage.

It means that you can potentially delicately wash it at home!
You cannot wash your Awase (lined kimono) kimono yourself, it needs to be professionally dry cleaned.

In particular, the hemp kimono and silk pongee kimonos will get better with age and with each gentle wash.

They can be worn as a robe, relaxing home wear, and even for special occasions and or meditation sessions etc…

It is also possible to cut the hem to a particular desired length and then use as a jacket.
