I use a lot of different metals, including copper, brass, silver, and gold filled. Most often, skin turns green because of a presence of copper, which reacts with oxygen to form verdigris, which is green. You shouldn't have to worry about any of my necklaces since they use solid sterling silver chains or gold filled (except the copper ones).
BRASS is an alloy made of copper and zinc and STERLING SILVER is an alloy made of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper so both have the potential to turn skin green, though its much less common.
ARGENTIUM SILVER is made of 93.5% pure silver with germanium in it and is more tarnish resistant.
Every person is different and reacts differently to different metals. It's good to learn how YOU respond to metals.
