This listing is for a real pressed botanical herbarium specimen. It is a professional, artistic presentation of the California lilac species “deerbrush” (Ceanothus integerrimus) which was found in its natural habitat in Shasta County of northern California.

It was collected by a trained, degreed professional (please see my personal profile). It is mounted on official, high-quality, natural colored herbarium paper, and I have added a special coating to the plant to protect it from decay. A complete collection label is also included with the specimen and has been mounted in the standard location on the bottom right corner of the front of the paper adding to its scientific appeal; thus, it is right in line with current home decorating trends. It has been framed in an 11”x14” black wood frame and is ready to hang! (Outside dimensions are 12 1/8 x 15 1/8 x 3/4”.)

All framed specimens are professionally fragile packed, and insured and shipped via USPS for safe delivery.

Photos have been taken without glass to reduce glare.

*Please note that, as with all dried plants, herbarium specimens are susceptible to fading or changing color over time. The speed and degree varies from plant to plant, but all will eventually take on a nice vintage look.
