How do I figure out the size belt to order?

WHAT SIZE BELT DO I ORDER? - If you want to get your best size, measure a current belt you've been wearing. Lay it flat on the floor or a table, and pull it tight to remove any curves or bends. Then measure from the fold or beginning of the leather (where the leather wraps around or attaches to the buckle - DO NOT INCLUDE THE BUCKLE) to the fitting hole where you wear the belt. If it measures an even size, such as 38 inches, then you will order a 38. If it measures an odd size, such as 39 inches, then you will order a 40. 95% of people that need to exchange or return an item is because of ordering the wrong size. PLEASE reach out to us if you have any questions. We want you to get the correct size as much as you do.

Our leather belts are handmade in Colorado. We ONLY use solid buffalo or cowhide leather. Our items have no man-made materials. Our belts will not peel, crack, split, or break like the cheap Chinese-made items you find in department stores. Yes, our items may be a little expensive, but when they last 50-100X longer than something you can buy in a department store for just a little more, it's definitely worth the investment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS BELT:

The top layer is a solid piece of finished water buffalo leather. To give the belt the shape and finish of the mens dress belt, we do include a cotton "filler" between to give the belt the proper shape and thickness. It's then sewn with another piece of leather for the backing of the belt. It is NOT one solid piece of leather. We found that our clients like the shape of the traditional dress belt, so we decided to make our belts this way. I will tell you this for the price, you will not beat it for less than $70 per belt. I'd put our belts up against Allen Edmonds or other high-end clothing/leather manufacturers any day.

****HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR BELT SIZE****

The best way to determine your size is to measure a current belt. There are such WIDE variances in pants sizes today, we don't trust the old rule of ordering one size up anymore. For example, I have size 34 athletic pants, size 36 jeans, and size 38 dress pants that I currently wear. This is why it's SO important to measure a belt you currently own. AND don't take for granted that just because your belt shows the same size as ours, it will measure the same.

Take a belt you've been wearing and measure from the beginning of the leather (where the leather wraps around the buckle) to the hole you currently use. If it's an even measurement, order that size belt. For example, you measure from the beginning of the leather to the fitting hole you use the most, and that measurement is 38 inches. You will then order a size 38 belt from us. If you take this measurement and it comes out to an odd size, say 37 inches, you will move up to the next even size, in this case, a size 38.

If you do not have a current belt to measure, we advise using a measuring tape and measuring around your waist over the pants you plan to wear the belt with. We advise using an apparel or seamstress measuring tape. Slide the measuring tape through the belt loops like you would with the belt. If this measurement is an even number, say 36 inches, you will order a size 36 belt. If this measurement is an odd size, say 39 inches, you would go up to the next even size, in this example, a size 40.
