That said, 14k gold filled jewelry is not suitable for women with acidic skin since it will alter the gold layer and expose the copper base which will cause the piece to oxidize.

Exposure to certain chemicals or harsh environments can compromise the integrity of your jewelry. This includes (but is not limited to): sweat, hand sanitizer, acidic skin, perfumes, cleaning agents, chlorine, and saltwater.

A polishing cloth is a wonderful tool to make your 925 silver and 14k gold-filled pieces shine!

Cleaning:
Pour a small amount of mild soap into warm water and use your fingers to clean your jewelry (do not soak for more than a minute), rinse, and thoroughly dry. If you need to scrub, use a very soft toothbrush and scrub GENTLY. Never use cloths or any paper-based materials to clean the pieces.
