This PDF crochet PATTERN gives you easy, step-by-step instructions on how to crochet this beautiful Koi Carp Inset Mosaic Crochet Throw. A stunning new design, this geometric throw is so stylish it will look fabulous anywhere in your home! The finished throw measures approx. 69 x 108cm (27 x 42.5in) excluding tassels, but you can adjust the dimensions using the starting chain multiple given in the pattern.
Please note: due to the nature of this 2-row inset version of mosaic crochet, short lengths of chain are made on the reverse. See photo of close-up of the reverse side. These can either be left loose or can be covered and incorporated into other stitches to hide them. Full details are given in the pattern.
Suitable for advanced beginner level upwards, the 10-page pattern includes:
- full written row-by-row instructions (UK crochet terms are used throughout. US terms are given in Abbreviations list where applicable)
- pattern notes
- stitch abbreviations
- special stitch instructions
- mosaic crochet chart and instructions
- separate jpg chart
You can either use the gorgeous Scheepjes Whirl and Whirlette yarns listed in the pattern, or any yarn you like. I used Yarn A: Whirlette Mint (856) x 2 balls (total weight used 170g), Yarn B: Whirl Tangerine Tambourine (554) x 1 yarn cake (total weight used 185g) and Yarn C: Whirlette Spearmint (879) x 1 ball (total weight used 32g) to achieve this size. I used a 4mm (US G/6) crochet hook.
Your finished throw will measure approximately 69 x 108cm/27 x 42.5in. The pattern gives full details how to adjust the size to suit you.
