Goose egg shells are the best for crafting. You will find them far superior to turkey and chicken egg shells! They are not only larger but the shell is twice as thick as turkey egg shells, four times thicker than chicken egg shells, plus they are much more durable, especially for pysanky and carving.

Six large goose egg shells ready to be carved, waxed or painted. Perfect for pysanky or carving. These have been “blown out” and are empty, real goose egg shells laid by happy, free range Toulouse geese on my small family farm. They ship insured in well packaged goose egg cartons.

Each egg has 2 very small holes, one on each end; one of these holes is the size of a pinhead, the other is approximately 1/8th”. This allows me to empty each egg properly. The holes can easily be covered with wax or used to pull a ribbon through the egg and hang it on a branch or on your Easter tree.

These eggs are in their natural state, not bleached or dyed. Each egg is unique.

Question: How many holes per egg and how big are they?

Answer: There is one hole at each end of the eggs. One hole is a little larger than a pin head and the other is a bit larger but still small enough to cover with pysaky wax. See the last images for example.
