This .PDF CROCHET PATTERN is written in ENGLISH, in STANDARD AMERICAN crochet terms.

With this very detailed pattern, you can make a charismatic Northern cardinal plushy.

This is a moderate pattern to crochet. Most parts work up pretty easily, but the reversed loop stitches for the head take some extra effort, but I made a tutorial video for that..

Size of finished doll: If you use the recommended yarn, your Cardinal will be 4.3 inch / 11 cm tall.

Materials
For this crochet cardinal you’ll need worsted weight yarn (Lètt Lopi) and an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You also need a D US/3 mm crochet hook for the feet. You’ll need four colours of yarn: crimson red (9434), garnet red heather (1904), apricot (1704) and black (0059); for these you only need about 1/4 of a 100-yard skein each. For the eyes I’ve used 9 mm animal eyes. You will also need fibrefill and pellets for extra weight in the body.

The crochet pattern contains
An intro with useful info. List of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right.

Gauge is unimportant for this pattern. If the pieces are crocheted tightly enough, they will not gape visibly when stuffed. You can make a little test swap to be sure.
