Our hens are pasture raised with room to roam and forage. They receive locally sourced non-GMO feed and fresh water. The whole raw eggs are freeze-dried and powdered without added ingredients or preservatives.

HOW TO RECONSTITUTE

To make approximately one large egg, combine:

• 2 tablespoons egg powder
• 2 tablespoons water

For a thinner consistency, use approximately 3 tablespoons of water.

Whisk the powder and water together, allow the mixture to rest for a few minutes and then stir again. Cook thoroughly as scrambled eggs or an omelet, or add the mixture to a recipe that will be fully cooked.

This product must be cooked before consumption. Do not eat the powder or reconstituted egg mixture raw, and do not use it in recipes that will remain raw or undercooked.

Cook egg dishes to an internal temperature of 160°F.

Once reconstituted, use immediately or refrigerate and cook within 24 hours.

AVAILABLE SIZES AND APPROXIMATE YIELDS

• 1 ounce — approximately 3 whole eggs
• 2 ounces — approximately 6 whole eggs
• 5 ounces — approximately 15 whole eggs
• 10 ounces — approximately 30 whole eggs

Egg equivalents are approximate. Every package is filled and sold by net weight.

PACKAGING OPTIONS

Clear Resealable Pouch

The clear resealable pouch allows you to see the product and is a convenient choice for everyday use or shorter-term storage.

For best quality, plan to use the unopened product within approximately one year. Exposure to sunlight may cause natural changes in color over time.

Opaque Mylar Pouch

The opaque Mylar pouch includes an oxygen absorber and provides additional protection from light, oxygen and moisture.

When unopened and properly stored under ideal conditions, freeze-dried food packaged in Mylar may have a potential shelf life of up to 25 years. Actual shelf life depends on temperature, moisture, light exposure, seal integrity and handling and is not guaranteed.

STORAGE

Store unopened packages in a cool, dry and dark location away from heat, humidity and direct sunlight.

After opening:

• Keep the powder dry
• Press excess air from the pouch
• Reseal the package immediately
• Leave the oxygen absorber inside the pouch
• Use clean, dry utensils when removing powder

The enclosed oxygen absorber is not edible. Keep it away from children and pets.

PROCESSING AND FACILITY INFORMATION

Freeze-dried and packaged by Lucas Organic Farms in Hillsboro, Ohio.

Our freeze-dried foods are prepared and packaged in a commercially registered and inspected facility.

SHIPPING

Packages are filled by weight and packed carefully for shipping. Fine powder may naturally settle during transportation without affecting the net weight or quality of the product.
