PasukART is Sonia Gordon-Walinsky’s unique creation of Torah artwork that connects an individual’s name with a pasuk (biblical verse). This artwork is inspired by the rabbinic tradition of ascribing each person a name pasuk- a biblical verse that begins and ends with the first and last letters of one’s name, or otherwise contains one's name.

For Rachel I have chosen a name pasuk from Pirkei Avot that contains the letters of Rachel- Reish, Chet, Lamed.
I have drawn the reish, chet and lamed a little larger than the other letters in the pasuk/verse for emphasis.
The reish is the last letter of ligmor/לגמור (on the top arc); the chet is in the word chorin/ חורין and the lamed is in lihebatale/ להבטל (both on the bottom arc).

This beautifully hand-painted artwork inspires a personal connection to Torah and greatly enriches many life-cycle experiences.
