Doesn’t show in pictures but the item is made out of wood for the black painted parts. 2 of the 3 boxes broke during shipping, which isn’t a reflection on the product or the company which packed the product thoroughly. It just shows how brittle these are. Also, the light comes down and into the box from the top, which it doesn’t show this on the product photos. I didn’t like the idea of seeing the huge power cord and lamp coming down into the box, because it just looks tacky.

The lamp was certainly crushed during shipment and a full refund was given. I’m not sure if any shade could withstand that damage, regardless if it was wood or not. However, as clearly stated in the listing, the lamp is illuminated with a cord and hung from the ceiling, kind sir that is the definition of a hanging lamp. As stated in the listing wood , it’s made of wood and acrylic. A One star review from you after a full refund and stellar customer service seems as you put tacky. We cannot as a small business do anything else to make you happy.
