Nice and quite irregular hand woven in strips canvas.
It was made in Africa and it is called Korhogo canvas.
The strips are later sewn together.
It was made by the Senoufo tribe that has always been known for weaving and painting on canvas.
The craftsman draw symbolic animals, people and geometric patterns on the canvas and they are tinted with vegetal dyes.
These fabrics are made in The North of Ivory Coast .
Nice ethnic work of art.
