All my furniture is renovated using professional grade, low VOC products for the best finish and durability. I only work on quality vintage or modern items. All drawers, doors, and hardware will be tested and fixed or renovated where necessary, to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Custom and personalised orders

Contact me for details if you would like me to source and customise an item for you. I am experienced in a wide range of techniques including decoupage, stencilling, adding mouldings, gilding, gold, silver and coloured leaf, foils, transfers and decals and I only use professional grade products for the best finish and durability. My listings are a guide price and will vary depending on what style of furniture and final treatment you choose.

What is the process for customisation?

1. You contact me with your specifications 2. I will search for a good quality vintage or modern item, sending you images of potentials 3. Once we've selected the right piece, I will request a deposit 4. We will discuss design details to ensure you get the perfect piece for you. I can send you mood boards and samples to help you decide or you can leave me to come up with the right design for you based on your existing decor or dream piece. Pinterest images welcome! 5. You sit back and relax whilst I work my magic. 6. Upon completion, I will send you images and videos for approval. 7. Finally, I'll arrange delivery and you enjoy your Extraordinary Furniture Co piece. Nothing leaves my workshop until you are 100% delighted.

Every item comes with clear instruction how to care for your decor piece.

You will have received plenty of images of your piece before delivery. If you're not 100% happy with your item upon arrival, you may return it, at your own cost. Your initial deposit will be forfeited against material costs and restocking fee. Returns must be within 14 days of delivery and the item must be in the condition you received it in.

What if I change my mind before my bespoke piece is finished?

Life happens! If your circumstances change or you're unable to take delivery of the completed piece for reasons beyond your control then I will do my best to help you. Any deposit paid will be forfeited and I will keep the final piece.

This large Bohemian Princess is a SOLD example of my custom commission work, but I can create something similar to suit your decor, carefully curated from quality second hand items, using professional grade, low VOC materials and products.

The listing price is a good budget guide for a set of this size and style complete, and I will offer you a choice from a selection of pieces I have sourced within your dimension requirements.

The bohemian, maximalist look is a style I specialise in, so the sky is the limit when it comes to theme, colour and design! I will provide electronic mood boards before work commences to help you choose colours, elements and style and ensure we get the exact look you're after. Completion photos and videos ensure your approval and 100% satisfaction of the final piece and nothing leaves my workshop until you are totally ecstatic at the results!

At the end of the process, you will be in possession of a 100% bespoke piece of furniture.

This overall effect can also be replicated on other furniture pieces and styles using similar techniques and materials.

This antique bow fronted chest of drawers is heavy! Such beautiful quality deserves an outstanding design. Luckily, that's exactly what my client was looking for: something spectacular. The brief was moody purples with vintage florals to include a nod to steampunk, and if possible....peacocks or peacock colours. I sourced this large, vintage bow-front chest of drawers to my clients dimension specifications and then set to work creating something as unique as her. During design discussions, my client had also mentioned loving the jewelled colours to be found in peacock feathers....so I decided there and then that I was going to include some actual gems on a peacock tail! A daring choice but one that worked exactly as planned.

The design also includes a variety of media and artistic techniques to meet the "spectacular look" requested, including decoupage, stencilling, wooden applique, resin and clay mouldings and even jewellery, to create a one-off piece of functional art.

I've also used a mixture of knobs and pulls to reflect all the different elements: flowers for the florals, dragonflies to match the stencils on one side, vintage Lebus handles that mimic the sweeping feathers of the peacock tail and one set of the original hardware as providence of the piece's own history.

I made the steampunk clocks on the one side and the top drawer front myself, created from silicone moulds, hanging them from a mock iron work applique (using real chains!) to look like a line of pocket-watches.

The drawer sides are decorated with vintage floral decoupage and the interior drawers are lined with luxury gold lining paper.

Like all my pieces, this Bohemian Princess was fixed, prepared and finished to a high standard to ensure functionality and beauty for many years to come.
