Charming French egg cup perfect for a succulent* (or an egg!). Vintage
Henriot Quimper Pottery. This French pottery has had a long history. It was first made in 1778. It is made in a town, Quimper, in Brittany, France. (Pronounced cam-pair) Each piece is handmade and handpainted. It bears the initials of the artist. This HQ egg cup is initialed LL.
This bright yellow chick, fixed to a white and blue saucer, is just the eye-catching accent you need for perching on a stack of books, a small table or even you kitchen windowsill. Opening of cup is 1.5". It would be darling with sugar cubes nestled in it for coffee or tea.
The base features the mark known as Q-C35. It reads "HB 115 Quimper France. LL." It's in good condition with the exception of one tiny flea bite on rim of saucer. Mark indicates a date of 1968 to 1984.
