Custom pet portraits are a great gift idea for your favorite animal lover. They can also be a wonderful keepsake as a memorial of your beloved friend or a personalized portrait of your current pet. Painted by hand using acrylics from any photo of your pet.

Arrives on a beautiful 100% cotton "The Edge" All Media Cotton Canvas - a deluxe stretched canvas known for its tuck-n-roll style construction (which allows for a beautiful edge display even without a frame), hand stretched by skilled Craftsman using the best archival materials. All 6x6 and 5x7 paintings will have an 11/16" deep edge while any larger size paintings will have a 1.5" deep edge.

▶︎ Once you place your order, please send me a message with the photograph you would like your portrait based off of. Please see tips below for picking a photograph that will work best. Please feel free to send several photographs so I can get to know your pet's personality and all of the little colors and spots that make him/her unique. If you have any specific background color requests, please let me know in the "note to seller" section upon checkout or with your message.

▶︎Time to finish might vary based on the amount of portraits I have in queue but I try to finish all portraits within 2-5 weeks of receipt of your reference photos. Please let me know before placing your order if you have a tighter deadline and I will see if I can accommodate it. I will send you a picture for your review before shipping and am willing to make one round of changes to make sure the portrait is perfect! (Additional changes may incur additional charges and full refunds are available for unshipped paintings if you are unhappy with the finished result.)

▶︎Any kind of animal is welcome (horse, cat, dog, fish, tortoise, rabbit etc.) Please see my other listings for samples of other animals. If you would like to do more than one pet on a single canvas, let's chat! - but please note that if you have multiple pets on a smaller canvas, they may be less detailed.


PHOTOGRAPHS:
To ensure the best quality painting, please follow these rules when picking your reference photograph:
1. Use a photograph with even lighting. A well-lit photograph that doesn't have too many dark areas is best, but also avoid too many bright white areas. This allows me to see all of the details in their fur.
2. Use a high resolution photograph whenever possible. Please make sure your photograph is sharp and detailed!
3. Take the photo at eye level with your pet. Photos at odd angles or looking down often look unflattering and unnatural to the eye.
4. Do not photograph your pet with the FLASH turned on. It creates odd colors and a red-eye glowing effect.
**Please do not send copyrighted photos without the permission of the photographer.

PLEASE NOTE:
1. For every piece of artwork I create, I sometimes take progress pictures and and I LOVE to share these and the final paintings on my social media pages. I typically wait until the customer has received their painting before posting these. If you would prefer that I not post anything on social media, please let me know in the NOTES TO SELLER.
