Hades (Haides) is the Greek god of the dead and king of the Underworld. He presides over funeral rites and defends the rites of the dead to due burial. He is also the god of hidden wealth – for within soil are valuable minerals and crystals. He possesses a helm that grants invisibility. He is the son of Kronos, god of time, and Rhea, goddess of female fertility. Ancient Greeks preferred to call him Pluton, the giver of wealth.

These Pagan Prayer beads or Witch's Ladder feature 8mm brecciated jasper, black tourmaline and garnet and 10mm hematoid quartz crystals - all separated by small dark gray hematite beads. Each section is separated by a larger faceted black bead and silver beads.

The strand is divided in sections of:
3 - Triple Goddess (Maiden, Mother, and Crone), the realms of Land, Sea, and Sky; and the Physical, Mental, and Spiritual Planes
5 - the five elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit); the five senses
9 - a magickal potent number (3x3), Goddess energy, change, growth, completion
28 - average days between full moons

At one end of the strand is a stainless steel skull and cross bones with a crescent moon at its third eye and at the other end a rose, dagger and skull combo.

The whole piece is about 25 and 1/4 inches long. It can also be used as an altar offering.
