These bears are made completely by hand. The carved effect was achieved by rigorous and labor intensive sanding.
Each bear is made from a section of 4x4 pine wood, cut to size then sanded into the roughly rounded shape seen in the listing photos. The ears are made from reclaimed pallet wood, cut with a scroll saw, sanded with a tabletop disc sander, then shaped by hand with a rotary tool. The noses pieces are made from reclaimed wood, shaped with a tabletop disc sander. The nose shape on the muzzle is the bark of the reclaimed wood. :)
The bears are all about 3.5 inches x 3.5 inches wide. However, they do come in two different heights. The shorter bears measure between 5 - 5.5 inches. The taller bears measure between 6.5 - 7 inches and come with a scarf in the color of your choice.
* BEARS ARE SOLD INDIVIDUALLY, NOT AS A SET. Although both the tall and short bears are shown in the listing photo, you must purchase one of each of you would like the set as shown. *
