Moving Pictures Series - Birds of the Burning Bush ‘Made to Order’.

This listing has been made for those who wish to create a bespoke mechanical painting with hand picked birds and plants. The piece photographed in this listing is an example from a previous commission to illustrate the style and type of birds that can be ordered. Due to the mechanical nature of the piece there are limitations as to which birds and plants can be used so please do get in contact with your idea first so we discuss how to best translate it into a final automaton. In the attached example the customer was lucky enough to have quite a range of birds and different plants in their garden and we worked together looking through various photos to find the best combination. As this will be designed and made bespoke the timing on this listing is just a guide so again please do let me know in advance of any deadline and I’ll try my best to accommodate you.

The birds and flowers are carved from wood with delicate fine edges and painted in vibrant oil paints whilst the background is treated with a specially formulated black to leave as little shine as possible helping to create depth.
