How do I clean my Hugs Knit suit?
Please do not wash in the washing machine. If you have small stains on your printed garment or knitwear, we recommend using professional dry cleaners and a technique called spot cleaning right away. To clean the stain, dampen a cloth with cold or warm water and pat the area gently. Please be extra careful when cleaning your knitwear piece - do not use soap or scrub the area as this can cause felted wool/yarn.
You can choose to hand wash the clothes. Before you start washing, keeping the sweater in the basin filled with warm water for 10 minutes will prevent the wool fibers from shrinking. After 10 minutes, remove the sweater slightly, put it aside and fill it with warm water again.

Made-to-order means that we produce a garment only when it is ordered by one of our customers. This reduces waste and also means we can create tailored garments just for you.
Due to the handmade and bespoke nature of their clothing, each piece may differ slightly - but don't worry, it might not even go unnoticed! Any change or irregularity in design is a feature of its handmade nature and should be considered a value. That's what we love about them!

How do I store my Hugs Knit track?
Folding your piece of knitwear in a drawer or box is always the safest storage option. If you still want to hang your knitwear piece in your wardrobe, we strongly recommend using non-slip hangers with rounded edges. Sharp-edged straps can get caught in your knitwear piece and puncture.
When you receive your super huge piece of knitwear, please note that there may be some pilling when worn. This is completely natural and is due to the delicate, luxurious nature of the unspun wool/yarn. Pilling is loose fiber, shedding, or small balls of fibers that form when a piece of knitwear is worn. This can happen mostly on the inside of the garment due to friction against our clothes.

How can I remove any pilling?
You can use a Knitwear Comb. We think this is the best way to keep our knitwear pieces looking great for years.
Do you have any other tips on how to keep your Hugs Knit products looking fresh?
If you don't have one of the combs, we recommend using a technique called petting! By stroking or stocking your chunky knit, it can bind all the delicate fibers together. It's also a great technique to shake up your braid a little, get rid of dust and keep your braid looking fresh.

Can I wear my knitwear piece in the rain or snow?
We don't recommend wearing your Hugs Knit knitwear piece when it's raining or snowing unless you keep it dry by protecting it with a coat! If your knitwear piece gets caught in the rain, lay it flat on a flat surface to dry. Do not hang while wet, as the weight of the absorbed water may put pressure on the knit.

Can I wear jewelry on my knitwear piece?
When wearing or trying on the garment, please try not to snag the garment with jewellery, sharp objects or rough surfaces. We recommend not wearing bracelets or jewelry with sharp edges that could become snagged or caught in wool or thread - but don't worry! Jewelry such as hoop earrings with smooth edges tend to be perfectly fine when worn with your braid!
