Previous experience sewing with zips & bias binding would be an advantage however all necessary steps involved are explained with diagrams & written instructions ( including colour photos detailing every step )

For best results please print out the pattern templates from a desktop pc
you will need ADOBE READER -this program is free to download
(you most likely already have the program installed on your computer )

Pattern pieces will need to be printed at 100% ACTUAL SIZE (do not shrink to fit the page)
please measure the control test squares provided to check your printer settings

All examples were made on a domestic machine without any issues!
I recommend investing in some Microtex needles if you intend on making the Oval case with vinyl . sewing tips & tricks included within this pattern

100% quilting cotton/canvas/denim/suede
lightweight vinyl /oilcloth/waterproof canvas/rip-stop nylon

Every consideration has been taken to ensure you can make this case with ease on a domestic sewing machine- this is a tried & tested pattern - with all of the notches & landmarks necessary printed onto the downloadable pattern templates to guide you

no measuring required , simply print out the templates (join together where necessary )
& cut out your fabric pieces

You will need ( approximately)
1.2 metres of number 5 Continuous zip tape with 3 zip pulls
(3cm wide tape ESSENTIAL for this project!)
1/2 metre of Outer fabric
( vinyl- cotton or canvas)
1/2 metre of lining fabric
Plus the equivalent measurements of iron-on interfacing
( Pellon SF101 / Vlieseline H250
Optionally fusible fleece or decovil -light (depending on your preference & budget )
Approximately 2m of Bias binding (ESSENTIAL)
4X 6mm double cap rivets (optional)
