Lightweight diz for pulling wool or other fiber into sliver, roving, or combed top.

This fiber craft tool is made from coconut shell so it naturally has a concave shape. One side is dark and the other is lighter.
Size: 50mm/approximately 2 inch diameter.

Various size holes allow you to create various size roving that can be spun into yarn or used for felting or even directly woven.

The diz in the photos has thee holes but I can make each diz unique with 2 - 5 holes to meet your specific requirements.

I pack each diz with a small sample of carded Gulf Coast Sheep’s Wool in a small box.

Optional diz threader description:
This tool is as functional as it is beautiful and simple. It can be used as both a diz threader or a spinning wheel orifice hook. The “hook” is more of a tiny tangle point that can fit through a small hole, grab some fiber, and pull it back.

The tool is about 2 inches long from the end of the hook to the back of the bead.

The wire is brass and the beads are wooden.

I hand craft the string from washed and carded Gulf Coast Sheep’s wool that is felted by rolling between my hands. The ends are felted together creating a loop with no knot.
