ABOUT: André Courréges is the French fashion designer best known for his Futurism inspired 60s space age simplistic designs which included (alongside Mary Quant) inventing the mini-skirt. Born in Pau in 1923. He worked as a fabric cutter between 1945 and 1960 for haute couture fashion house Balenciaga - before founding the Courréges fashion house in 1961.
