Handmade Orthodox Prayer Rope (Komboskini)
Black Silk – Traditional Monastic
By the grace of our Lord, these humble prayer ropes are handmade with care. They are carefully knotted from high-quality black silk thread in the authentic monastic tradition.
Available sizes: 12, 33, 50, 100, and 150 knots
Options: with or without tassels, including car pendant versions.

What is a Prayer Rope & How to Use It
A prayer rope (Κομποσκοίνι, Чётки, Бројаница) is a blessed tool that helps Orthodox Christians to pray the Jesus Prayer with greater attention and reverence.
Each knot is carefully made and consists of seven interlocked crosses. The most common sizes are 33 and 100 knots.
The prayer rope is not a decoration, nor does it possess any magical power. It is simply a humble aid that helps us concentrate while we repeat:
“Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.”
You can use it throughout the day in secret, or during your regular prayer rule given by your spiritual father.
How to wear the 33-knot prayer rope
Please don’t be surprised by its small size when it arrives. The 33-knot ropes are intentionally made smaller so they fit comfortably on the wrist. They are stretchy and adjustable.
Gently stretch the rope knot by knot with your fingers before the first use. It will adapt perfectly to your hand size.
Tassel Care
Tassels may become wrinkled during shipping. Simply dip only the tassels in cold water for about 1 minute, then let them air dry. They will straighten out nicely.

This thing is awesome! I’m used to beaded Catholic rosaries and almost all of mine feel cheap in comparison. Also for those with mild OCD, all the knots are the exact same size, tightness, and evenly spaced apart. Even the cross!! Hard to explain how fantastic that is. If you want to travel with it in your pocket to work and such, be sure to keep it in a pouch to help minimize wear and tear.
