When inherited some of this incredible established and strong starter from my neighbor over two years ago, it completely changed everything for me. P.S. This starter originated in Alaska. My neighbors brother inherited it in the late 80's, and she was passed down some of it over 12 years ago. She thinks it could be much older, but just to be safe, we say 38+ years.
I named this starter Eden after our little girl we miscarried in 2022. She's an integral part of my own sourdough journey. When you receive yours, be sure to name it something special to you. :)
