Each checklist comes with the symbol for the set, the character that is represented on the Trainer Box for that set, and detailed information so you will know how many formats each card comes in.

Did you know, there are usually two formats for each card? Usually a non-shiny card and a reverse-holo card. Sometimes there is a reverse-holo and a holo card. Sometimes there is only a full-art or half-art card. So, unless you have the booklet from the trainer box, or "My Pokemon Checklist", you just wouldn't know which format of card you need to complete your set.

If you are an avid Pokemon Card collector like I am, keeping track of the cards in each set and series is fun and important. When I am looking for new cards to add to my sets I rely on "My Pokemon Checklist" (available on this website). I check the box on the list when I buy a new card. I keep "My Pokemon Checklists" in a binder, in plastic sleeves, alphabetically so I can refer to them when I'm shopping.

So, if you are building a master set you will want to know exactly how many non-shiny, reverse-holo, holo, full-art, half-art, shiny and non-shiny energy cards come in each set.

I also have a "Master Symbols List" available as well. So, when you are looking at cards that have symbols on that you don't recognize, you can refer to the “Master Symbols List” to find out which set that card belongs to.

Ash and I have a YouTube channel “Ash Tag TCG”. You can watch our videos to see how we use the "Master Symbols List" and "My Pokemon Checklists" while opening packs. We make master sets and it's so easy to know if the cards we pull from the packs are new, or duplicates.
