This is a piece of Platinum/ Palladium ore. It is a high grade piece off of an actual core sample from the Stillwater Mine in Nye, Montana. James Mansfield dike.
It shows the Platinum sulfides throughout the piece. It is made up rare materials such as, Braggite, Pentlandite and Pyrrohotite.
This piece is polished on one side to highlight the concentration of Platinum and palladium within. It’s a uncommon specimen to add to any collection or even used as a fancy paperweight. Super rare to find this material and the only platinum palladium mine in the United States.
