100% human-made patterns. Every design is created, drafted, prototyped, built, and tested by me. No AI-generated patterns. I create original PDF patterns for hand-stitched leather bags, backpacks, accessories, home decor, corsets, hats, and other leather projects. I have been doing leatherwork since 2016 after working as a graphic designer since 1998.

ABOUT THE PATTERN:

After I created Le Fétiche I suddenly thought that there is another way I could make a corset pencil cup differently so I made Le Fétiche Sablier which means "Hourglass". There's never too many corset pencil cup designs, right?
Great project to use your scraps. It does involve some stitching but can be made in one night (Sunday evening project).

Size: 4.5" high, 3.5" wide, 2.8" deep
(If you want a big wearable corset, I have one too: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1382390923/leather-corset-pattern-size-sm-and-l)

Materials:

Scraps! The important part is that thickness should be 6-7 oz and up, it needs a good structure. Play with colors, there’s plenty of beautiful options.
The base is 10-12 oz, I’d say the heavier the better. If you worry you make it double :)

You will also need some lace, I used 4.5 oz lace I made with my lace maker, use anything including cotton laces or ribbons.

Hardware:

None

Tools:

Scissors, knife (paper knife or rotary cutter would also work).
Stitching irons: my pattern is made for 5 SPI stitching irons (5 stitches per inch).
Needles - according to your thread size, a pair of harness needles.
Mallet, hole punch.
Burnishing agent and burnisher (optional but desirable)

Pattern is designed for hand stitching.

Formats: A4 and USLetter.

The pattern has stitching holes marked for 5 SPI stitching irons (5 stitches per inch, or approximately 5.2 mm). 5 mm stitching irons made by metric system sometimes fit, sometimes they don’t (depending on manufacturer). If you have 5 mm irons and the spacing seems a tad too large for them you can print the pattern at 96.2% scale. I advise to print one page and try your irons to see how they fit before printing the entire pattern.

Loved this project. It was a little intimidating when purchasing this project, thinking it would be too difficult, but with the videos and instructions it was a fun little project to complete.
