The kernels in our Corn Pillows will not pop in your microwave because they are filled with whole kernel feed/field corn, not with popping corn which is used for popcorn.

Corn holds heat a lot longer than other filling materials like rice or cherry pits. How long a Corn Pillow holds heat depends on how you use it. Examples: Wrap Corn Pillow around ankle while sitting in chair, and it will stay nice and warm for about 1/2 hour. Stick Corn Pillow into bed by feet at night, it can stay warm for hours because the blanket acts like an insulator. Time of year and room temperature also play a role how long Corn Pillows hold heat.

To freeze a Corn Pillow simply place into freezer. Put Corn Pillow into a plastic bag before freezing if desired.
