Reynard is an original limited edition hand pulled mono and linocut print and borrows its name from the old folklore name for a particularly cunning fox.

Made using a combination of two techniques, this limited edition artwork is one of only five available.

After making preliminary drawings to work from, I create a monoprint for the colour element by applying printmaking inks like paint to a smooth surface and placing Hereford paper over the top, this leaves an imprint on the surface of the paper. I make five individual 'paintings' in this manner, each one with it's own unique brushwork.

Using the same initial sketches, I then carve a 'key block' which when printed over the monoprint, creates the dark line work.

Each of these prints, although similar, are unique, with their own slight variations in colour, texture and brushwork.

The print measures approximately 30cm x 30cm and is printed on to 145gsm Hereford printmaking paper using Caligo Safewash ink.
The paper size is approximately 47cm x 42cm.

Due to the size of the print it will be sent out rolled in a strong cardboard tube via Royal Mail special delivery in the UK and tracked internationally to all other destinations.
