DE vs SE Dreads: Which to choose?

DE (Double Ended): One dread piece folded in half, creating two dread ends. They offer maximum volume, thickness, and perfectly hide your natural hair braids. SE (Single Ended): A single dreadlock with a neat loop at the top. They are significantly lighter, making them ideal for accent pieces, updos, partial installs, or if you prefer a less bulky, lightweight look. Both types are fully reusable. Wearing Time & Hair Safety

Temporary synthetic extensions can be safely worn for 4 to 6 weeks. After this period, your natural hair grows out, and the braids near the roots may start to look messy or begin to mat. At this point, you should safely unbraid and remove them. Will they damage your hair? No! This is a protective style. When removing them, you will shed a lot of natural loose hair. Don't panic: we naturally lose around 100 hairs daily, and since they were trapped inside the braids, they all come out at once. This is completely normal.

You only need to wash your scalp—not the actual dreads. Mix a small amount of regular shampoo with water in a squeeze bottle to create foam. Apply it directly to your scalp between the sections and gently massage with your fingertips. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, letting the suds run down the extensions. Important: Do not apply hair conditioners, masks, or oils to the dreads, as they cause slipping and build-up. Wrap your dreads in a towel to absorb water, then let them air dry naturally. Never use a hot blow dryer, as extreme heat ruins synthetic fibers. Wash once every 7–10 days.

Custom and personalized orders

To keep your roots neat and prevent friction, tie your dreads up into a high, loose bun (a "pineapple" style) or a big loose braid before going to bed. Wearing a satin bonnet or sleeping on a smooth satin pillowcase works wonders to keep them completely frizz-free. Can you swim? Yes, but synthetic hair absorbs water like a giant sponge and becomes very heavy. If you swim in the ocean or a pool, it is highly recommended to tie them up in a high bun to keep them dry, or rinse your scalp with fresh water afterward to remove salt and chlorine.
