Wheel-thrown stoneware bud vase. Perfect housewarming gift or special treat for yourself to display beautiful flowers anywhere in the home.

Hand made from Western Australian clay, this bud vase was glazed in white and fired by the artist in a gas reduction kiln. The pattern comes from a process called 'tape resist', where a design is created on the surface using fine line tape. After being dipped in glaze, the tape is peeled back to reveal the intricate pattern underneath. It is then fired to 1280 degrees celsius in a manually controlled gas reduction kiln, where the dark brown colours are drawn out of the iron rich clay, leaving a speckled pattern on the glazed surface.

This vase is one of a kind and will never be made again.
