PLEASE READ: Some folks have been expecting a large tap root, like most Aristolochia species. This species and A. serpentaria have a fibrous root system and both species are dainty in general. This is not a large growing species. They will NOT vine, and do not have tendrils.

If you are not familiar with Aristolochia and understand the nature of these, and how long they take to grow, please do not purchase.

Shipped bare root and NO LEAVES. I have to trim down the plant for safe transit, but new shoot will emerge quickly. Plant in moist sand with compost on the surface. Keep damp at all times.

Received the seedling in good condition. Packaged well to survive transport. Thanks for providing this native Texas plant. We've already raised 5 pipevine caterpillars on what little pipevine we had that's eaten down to the ground now. Definitely need more!
