Industrial vintage style bookcase made with real black walnut hardwood shelving. Walnut is a beautiful hardwood that features a variety of grain patterns on each piece and colors ranging from golden brown to rich espresso brown.

The walnut is sanded smooth and finished with a food-safe wood oil to give a subtle shine and protection for years. Our design features genuine industrial grade black iron pipe, cleaned to be safe for handling.

Free shipping:
Please note that free shipping is only eligible to orders shipping within the CONTIGUOUS United States. Order shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and any other territories or military bases will require additional shipping charges to be paid before shipping. It is the BUYER'S responsibility to contact the seller for an additional shipping invoice. A 25% cancellation fee will be applied if order is placed before contacting us for a shipping invoice.

Pipe colors:
The pipes we use are called "black iron pipe" however they are coated with black grease at manufacturing. We clean all pipes and fittings to remove grease, leaving the metal parts dark gray or silvery gunmetal color, not true black. If you would like black painted metal, please message us before purchase. Colors and markings are unique to each part.

Color staining or alternative finish on walnut:
If you would like your walnut shelving stained and finished in an alternative way to our standard technique, please message us as prices may vary for supplies.

Outdoor use:
Our products are meant for interior use however we are happy to look into alternative products that are rated for outdoors. Please message us for more information as this may have additional price adjustments.

There are many factors that go into the color that a board will turn out including grain pattern, species, age - these variations will affect how stain looks therefore we can not guarantee a perfect match to an existing item.

If you have a stain number already chosen, we can create an order with that specific information.

Due to the many variations and styles of whitewashing we no longer offer this as a finish option. We can prep your boards for you to whitewash at home but we can not supply any paint via mail delivery.

We use FedEx Home Delivery and FedEx Ground as our primary shipping carrier for most orders. If FedEx is not available in your area or you are shipping to a Post Office Box, please contact us before checkout.

We recommend double checking the shipping address on your order before and after checking out and contact us if it’s incorrect, we will make a note of the address change. Once we ship an order it is often very difficult to reroute it without additional delays or fees.

We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase, if there are any issues please contact us within 3 days of delivery and ship the original item back within 14 days of delivery.

We accept returns and exchanges with a 25% restocking fee due to the many variations offered. You will be responsible for return shipping costs and we recommend insuring your return for the cost of the item.

Damaged items will be resolved per situation, please contact us if your item arrives damaged.

The pipe and fittings we use are standard 1/2” black iron pipe, the outside diameter is 7/8”.

During the manufacturing of the pipes, they are coated with black grease. We clean all metal components to remove residue. Metal is ordered from vendor, not made by JT Industrial Designs.

After cleaning, the pipes are more of a dark gray / gunmetal color than actual black. The metal pipes will also have variations in color and markings. Use care when assembling with pipes as the threads are sharp.

If you would like painted metal, send us a message before check out.

The lumber we use is solid pine, sourced from an FSC certified supplier.

We personally select our lumber to ensure excellent quality and character. We try to select wood that has knots or other distinctive markings or natural imperfections that add to the overall beauty and individuality of the piece. Each piece will have unique variations from what is pictured such as grain patterns and knots.

Being a natural product, there may be slight imperfections such as warping, superficial cracks, and knots. We inspect every order at all stages of processing to insure our standard of quality is being met.
