Highlights
This listing is for a pre-filled copper roof cage containing 100% Pygora goat fiber from our small herd. Pygoras are a cross between a Pygmy and Angora goat, their fleece is desired for its wonderful hand spinning qualities. You'll be amazed how soft this fiber feels! It's also a great insulator so it will keep the baby birds nice and warm. Every spring, as our goats naturally begin to shed their coats we observe various species of songbirds picking it up to use as a nesting material.
The fiber is unwashed so no need to worry about soap or chemical residue. It may contain very small bits of sticks or other vegetation like hay - which the birds will happily incorporate into their nests.
The fiber is dye-free. Colors will vary depending on which of our goats it was collected from.
A perfect gift for bird lovers and naturalists. You can attract songbirds to your yard and assist in their efforts to build homes. They will pull the nesting material from the cage and use it to line their nests. Once empty, the cage can be used as a suet feeder or refilled with more fiber.
