This listing is for a custom, made to order Illuminated manuscript style calligraphy art piece that is hand lettered & hand painted by Amanda Salazar. Your text will be written in an adapted version of Textura Quadrata with the first letter as a Gothic illuminated initial and with the option to add an illustrated border.

✒ WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE:
• 8-in x 10-in calligraphy piece written on a white, 140lb, cold-press watercolor paper that’s acid free.
• Your desired text written in black pearl ink.
• Decorated, illuminated initial (will be the 1st letter in your text unless otherwise specified) that will be created using gouache and gold watercolor paints. Please mention any specific color requirements in Message to Seller box upon checkout
• Optional: add a decorative border to your piece. This will accompany the illuminated capital and will frame the text.
• Digital proofs and photos of your final piece provided prior to shipping.
• Free shipping via USPS first class mail.
*PLEASE NOTE: This art piece is NOT framed, but it's designed to fit standard US frame sizes.

• Select the correct word count for your length of text. Need help? You can check your word count here: https://wordcounter.net/
• Provide your text exactly how you'd like it written in the personalization box. (Please check your grammar and spelling.) If it's longer than the space allowed, please send me your text via Etsy Messages after purchase. Provide your text in English or a language with Latin characters (I.E. NO Chinese, Russian, Greek, Arabic, etc.)
• Add any notes you’d like me to be aware of in the Notes to Seller box.
• After purchase I will send you a digital proof through Etsy Messages of your piece in order to correct any errors in design or text.
• After approval of the digital proofs I will proceed making your handwritten piece. I will send you a photograph of your completed piece prior to shipping.

✒ CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
• This art piece comes unframed. To protect and extend the life of your art piece, it is recommended that you mount and frame it under glass. Paintings placed directly against glass are prone to condensation and the growth of mold. For this reason it's recommended to add a mat to the frame in order to lift it away from the glass.
• As with most art, do not display in direct sunlight.
