Brilliance blends fine-quality British wool with silk for a luxurious yarn with exceptional drape and shine. Brilliance 4 Ply is perfect for shawls and lightweight sweaters and garments for warm and transition seasons. It blocks to reveal beautiful stitch detail and is especially suited to lace knitting. We also offer the Brilliance blend in a laceweight yarn.

This yarn's decadently high silk content adds an unmistakable softness, drape and luminosity. Colours have a bright, glossy and even metallic radiance.

Bluefaced Leicester ('BFL') is a native British sheep breed, loved for its soft, fine fleece. It has a subtle lustre, unique to the breed, that gives our hand-dyed colours an incredible depth and jewel-like glow. These fibres have an unusually long staple length which offers excellent wear and resistance to pilling. Brilliance holds up well as a weaving yarn for both weft and warp.

The Brilliance shade range not includes our favourites from our other yarn lines so they can be used together, to play with different textures through uniform colour.

The wool fibres have been superwash treated for smoothness and resilience, making it possible to machine wash your creations on a silk setting.

We provide customs information electronically (as well as printed on the packet) to speed up the clearance process. Buyers are responsible for any import duties or similar charges, as these are beyond our control.

We photograph every new batch to ensure the yarn you receive matches the one in the picture. We do everything within our power to ensure the accuracy of the colours in our photography, including using 95% CRI studio lighting and calibrating white balance and exposure continually using professional equipment. However, we don't control the screen settings for the device you are looking at the images on, and each device displays colour slightly differently.

Please also check the shade's written description to see if it suits your requirements. If in doubt, we're happy to provide additional photos of the yarn next to other colours for comparison.

We dye in small batches (6-18 skeins). There can be variation between batches, and to a lesser extent, variation within a batch. However, we always make sure that skeins ordered together are from the same batch and match each other.

Please order enough for your project, as it is harder to ensure that skeins ordered at different times will match.
