What makes our little apothecary unique is the way we do everything by hand, with care and intention (‘we’ meaning I, it’s just me here!). About half of the plants we use are wildcrafted from the pristine Cascade Mountains, while the rest come from small organic family farms here in the Pacific Northwest. We gently dry render our tallow to keep its natural fatty acids and nutrients intact, while still removing any unpleasant scent, for a clean, skin-friendly base. We distill all of our own hydrosols in a traditional copper alembic still, craft many of our own extracts, and use a proprietary triple-extraction method for our herbal oil infusions—the rich colors and beautiful natural scents are proof of their potency. From recipe writing and wildcrafting, to production, label design, photography, marketing, and writing our listings, we do it all in-house to keep prices fair without ever cutting corners. With over 13 years of herbal study and 26 years of skincare formulation experience, every product is properly pH balanced, emulsified, preserved, and tested—so you can trust that what you’re putting on your skin is both safe and effective.
