Kurbits (pumpkin) is a distinctive floral motif in folk art from Dalarna Sweden, so-called «valley painting» or Dalmålning.
Dalmålning had its heyday from 1770 to 1870, first as furniture decoration, later also as murals. "Kurbits" as a common name for the fantasy flower is far newer.
The Dalmålning, Kurbits or pumpkin style has a lot in common with Norwegian Rosemaling.
