'Miss Piggy’ is an awesome early blooming spring perennial. Sturdy, thick, 16-18” tall Candelabra clusters of Huge, Waxy, Hot Pink flowers which take spring frost. The flowers radiate against the super shiny foliage stunning! This plant is at peak bloom when few plants are blooming. These flowers are exceptionally showy are excellent to cut for arrangements and bouquets. 'Miss Piggy’ forms a huge clump of very Large, serrated, evergreen glossy green leaves which provide excellent contrast between the flowers and foliage. When the fall temperatures cool foliage takes on a bronze red appeal which lasts all winter creating a Fourseason the garden interest. No worries about deer rabbits or other critters while it attracts much needed pollinators. The perfect choice to jumpstart your garden after the snow melts!

For Best Results, Bergenia will thrive in almost any amount of sunlight, but partial shade or all day filtered sunlight is ideal. In northern regions, it will grow in full sun, but it needs afternoon shade in the south. Plants remain evergreen and cooler temperatures induce intense color changes. In either region, plants will always perform the best in rich, moisture-retentive soil. However, it dislikes clay and heavy soils. It enjoys adequate moisture goes well near a pond stream or waters edge but avoid standing water. Grows well with shade loving perennials like: Astilbe, Barrenwort, Bellflowers, Brunnera, Goat’s Beard, Hosta, Hellebore, Pulmonaria, Primula, Sedges and Variegated Solomon’s Seal.
