Carefully hand carved and hand printed beautiful linocut wall decoration with the forest and the hut pattern!
Why is it an unique and perfect gift for every nature and forest lover? This linoprint artwork has been designed and created with the love for the nature and forests. As a kid and young lad I have spent long hours wandering through the woods near my home. Every time I carve, draw or print forest I pay the tribute to this beautiful and misterious biome.
"Spokój Drzew II" is multi block print! It means I have used 5 different blocks to put 5 layers with different colors.
The whole printing process (and only printing) took more than month, because every layer need to dry for a few days, I left them for at least one week per layer. I carefully mixed every color of each layer to give you the best visual experience. To see the printing process, check out the gallery.

Linocut is an art technique of hand carving a desired shape (mirrored) on linoleum tile. It's time consuming process that doesn't forgive mistakes. The errors such as careless chisel cutting or badly planned lines are very hard or even impossible to undo and you have to start everything again (or at least cut out the entire defective piece of lino). After that the ink is carefully applied onto linoleum with the special roller. Its very important to control the amount of the ink on roller and linoleum and keep an eye on even distribution of ink on lino. The last phase is the careful pressing the ink onto paper. There are few tools to do it: spoons, special barens or professional presses. The print need to dry right amount of time depending of used ink.
