These stunning rainbow spike dangle earrings are made from anti- tarnish/fade titanium rainbow plated spike charms. They will come on your choice of earring hooks with silicone earring backs. Please choose between titanium rainbow plated 316 surgical stainless steel hooks, solid stamped 925 sterling silver hooks, or rainbow anodized niobium hooks (niobium hooks are 20 gauge, handmade, with ends filed(rounded off) so they don’t poke you, see niobium description below). The length of the drop with hooks is 2 inches

What is Niobium?
If you have allergies or sensitivities to metals, Niobium or Anodized Niobium may be a solution for you. Especially when it comes to any type of jewelry that comes in close contact with your skin, like earrings, rings, and body piercings. Niobium is Nickel and allergen free, lightweight, scratch, tarnish, and corrosion resistant and extremely safe to wear.
This jewelry is made from Anodized Niobium. These vibrant colors are created by immersing the wire into an electrolytic bath through which an electric current is passed, causing an oxide layer to form on the surface of the metal, which changes how light is reflected off of the surface. This is how we recognize color. Again, the color effects are generated by electricity and is NOT an added color, but a clear oxide and we see the “color” through reflection and refraction of light. In no way does it change the hypoallergenic nature of this metal. Anodizing metal protects it from corrosion and was first used in 1923 to protect seaplane parts that were constantly exposed to sea water.
