This beautiful handmade journal/notebook/sketchbook is made with 100% recycled plain paper bound by hand with hand marbled Cotton paper.

Its flexible cover makes it perfect to keep it with you at all times for notes or sketches and the elastic band makes it easy to store extra paper without the risk of loosing it. It includes a ribbon bookmark as part of the journal.

Plain (Unlined) or Ruled (Lined) 95 gsm acid-free Recycled paper inside for a truly high-quality writing experience. Marbled on the cotton paper cover. Suitable for all types of pen, including fountain pen.

This book's paper is made using highest quality 100% recycled paper and certified according to the main sustainability and ethic standards. The emissions generated during production of thiseco-friendly paper are fully offset through activities that can absorb CO2 in the atmosphere.

The technique used to create the marbling requires great skill and precision, and has been used in Italy since the 17th century. A basin is filled with a thick, vegetable-based liquid, and its surface is sprinkled with different colours. The craftsman creates patterns in these colours using combs, and then gently places the paper on the surface of the liquid without moving the design. It only takes a few seconds for the paper to absorb the colours, then the decoration is complete and the colours are immediately dry.
