Highlights
Viking Dog Pendant - In Norse mythology, the relationship between humans and dogs was powerful and divine. Dogs were not domesticated like the dogs we know today, but they had a friendly relationship with mankind. The Vikings considered them as equals, and shared even homes with them. Dogs were friends and allies, both in daily life and in battle. The Viking dog symbolizes loyalty, friendship and companionship. I created this piece as an homage to the ancient art objects found during the Iron Age.
This piece was first created in clay, then I made a mold and hand cast it in 100% lead-free premium pewter. I applied a darkened patina which gives it an aged appearance, like an ancient relic which has been un-earthed and brought to the light.
It measures: 27 mm wide x 26.5 mm tall. Jump ring is included. (chain not included...please see separate listing for chain.)
This item is hand cast from a mold, but please be aware that due to the handcrafted process and oxidization, there will always be slight variations in each piece.
Pewter is a wonderful metal that has the look and feel of silver without the high cost. I am very happy to offer my pewter creations as an alternative for jewelry artists (and wearers) who are looking to add unique affordable elements to their designs and jewelry collection.

Kelly, the seller, did a great job assuaging my frustration over the USPS and their totally inept handling of the shipping of this piece. It took over a week to travel 44 miles from her shop to my home. It went from Denver to New York and back again to get to me. It would have been easier to drive to her to pick it up. All I can say is it’s no wonder the US Mail is in peril. They are shipping packages back-and-forth across the country. This wastes energy, labor, fuel and frustrates those that are counting on them to do a good job. I love the piece. It’s just as described and was sold for a fair price. Too bad the shipping took a bit of the excitement wind out of my sails. Thank you!
