Grow your own gourmet mushrooms with this freshly cut hardwood log, ideal for home cultivation. Hand-cut to order from trees grown in our coppiced woodland in Surrey, this log is perfect for inoculating with a variety of mushroom species (spawn not included).

– Diameter: 8–12cm
– Species: Beech, Sweet Chestnut, or Sycamore (depends on seasonal cutting)
– Supplied fresh (not seasoned) for optimal inoculation

🌳 What Can It Be Used For?
This log can be used to grow many varieties of mushrooms, including:
– Shiitake
– Oyster
– Chestnut
– Nameko
(Always follow the guidance of your spawn supplier.)

🍃 Sustainably Sourced:
We grow and harvest our own trees using traditional coppicing — a regenerative woodland method that encourages trees to regrow from the same root system every 5–10 years. No trees are destroyed unless they are being thinned due to ovr crowding.
